Kenneth MacLean, like his father before him, was an accomplished bagpiper. The instrument produces a very loud, piercing sound, so it's a good idea to choose an open space for practice, away from neighbours. Kenneth's young cousin Kit Pettersen (also of Scottish parents) is used to it and doesn't seem to mind the decibels.
