Puerto Bories Freezer, Última Esperanza, Album #2

In 1906, the Sociedad Explotadora de Tierra del Fuego acquired most of the sheep-ranching lands in the Chilean province of Última Esperanza, located some 150 miles north of the Strait of Magellan. The existing fat-rendering plant at Puerto Bories was replaced in 1915 by this large-scale freezing works, with a capacity of 300,000 animals per season.

These images of the plant and its operations are taken from the 1943 "Explotadora" company history, written by Fernando Durán.
