Expeditions of Otto Nordenskjöld, 1895-96
The Swedish scientist Otto Nordenskjöld
led two expeditions into the area known today as "Torres
del Paine". This map shows most of the significant geographic
features, some with their modern names. His cartographic work
helped to prepare the way for the 1902 Argentina-Chile boundary
arbitration.
